This unique, and powerful service includes several components, including:
- Gas Reference Case is a fundamental analysis of supply and demand, expected gas market prices, infrastructure, and market uncertainty for 36 competitive natural gas price zones to 2029. Fuels Advisor specs includes 189 supply nodes, 204 demand nodes, and over 450 transport nodes.
- Coal Reference Case forecasts long-term supply and demand fundamentals, expected coal market prices, infrastructure, and transportation constraints for major North American coal basins. Baseline is a detailed analysis of the productive capacity of 1900 coal mines and implications for coal deliverability through 2011. The service includes CoalView Interactive, our web-based, interactive, short-term coal forecast providing daily-updated, marked-to-market, two-year forward monthly FOB mine and barge price forecasts for 16 common U.S. coals. CoalView lets you add your own price inputs and see them instantly collected, summarized, and displayed for all 16 coals.
- World Oil Forecast tracks global regional demand and supply for 24 oil producing export regions. We take into account not just incremental full cycle supply costs, but use state-of-the-art game theory to project OPEC cartel supply withholding behavior under uncertainty and synthetic fuels (Syncrude and biodiesel).
- Liquefied Natural Gas Forecast was among the first to recognize the transformation of the natural gas market from a continental market to a truly global marketplace. LNG supply and demand growth has become phenomenal in the last several years. Ventyx's International gas model projects the rationing of LNG supply across each international market.
- Emissions Forecast simulates the emissions control decisions and results simultaneously in three cap and trade markets (SO2, NOx, and Hg). The economic model acts to minimize system-wide costs of total environmental compliance across the entire forecast period providing forecast emission prices, installation dates and resulting system-wide emissions. CO2 is modeled as a series of scenarios of alternative regulatory regimes being considered.
